About
RDMDKBRX /R-D-M-D-K-bricks/ is the creative outlet for RDMDK's natural passion for storytelling and filmmaking. LEGO was selected for its scale and variety of parts, giving full control over artistic vision and license
Much of our cinematography is inspired by movies and television. Layered shots progress the story through the actions of multiple characters in different depths. Medium and wide shots with abundant headroom establish a sense of atmosphere. Whenever such a shot is planned, we frame and compose it with one thought in mind: imagine this on the big screen!
History
In 2012, a LEGO astronaut took one giant step towards the future of RDMDKBRX and during a trip to LEGOLAND Windsor in 2013, the decorator collectable minifigure continued to lay the foundation. More
Redmond, the official RDMDKBRX sigfig (named after our founder), was introduced in October 2013 but it wasn't until the following year when the collection really began to grow thanks in part to a discovery of Doctor Who and the quest to assemble a mix-matched assortment of the dozen-plus incarnations of the title character.
As more minifigures, polybags, small and medium-sized sets gradually expanded the collection, the baseplate on which they stood, began to spill over the dresser on which it perched. In September 2014, operations moved from the US to the UK and that December saw the release of our first story, Doctor Who: Journey to the Center of the Christmas Tree. More stories soon followed along with the advent of the BRXVRS!
By 2015, the amount of LEGO content on RDMDK's Instagram was thought to be too much for the non-LEGO enthusiast following, that a new Instagram account for RDMDKBRX was created.
Over the years, general expansion has reduced in favor of focused expansion in an effort to only collect minifigures, bricks and accessories that could potentially make for great content. Nevertheless, we continue producing content to this day and will continue for as long as new ideas emerge!
